Are you okay with God’s timing?

27 Apr

For a couple weeks, I was wrestling with God’s timing vs. my timing, and with my plans vs. God’s plans.  I was really struggling with it.  Everywhere I looked I was reminded that I was not at the place I wanted to be with my life.  There were women who are engaged, women who have wonderful husbands, women who have babies and kids, and it made my heart ache because I am not there yet.  And I desire those things so much.

After a couple very difficult weeks, I realized that I need to place more TRUST in God.  He is the ultimate Guide.  Who am I to tell God my plans when I get annoyed with His plans?

Once I relinquished my plans to God’s, and took a deep breathe, I had more peace in my heart.  I know that his plans for me are great, beautiful and wonderful.  I know that His timing is perfect.

It’s not about my timing.  It’s all about God’s timing.  And God’s timing is what matters the most.  Are you okay with God’s timing?  Let’s trust Him together!

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”  Jeremiah 29:11-13
